Not too many photo sessions recently, but that doesn’t mean that I have not been busy with life and snapping photos! We have been busy planting flowers, taking walks on the trails, picnicking by the Bay of Fundy, trips to Halifax and area, and so on! But my personal highlight of the last couple weeks have to be today – the Nova Scotia Community College (NSCC) Annapolis Valley Campus awards ceremony! My handsome Jeff was asked to attend and receive an award, though he didn’t know what it was going to be!
My mom and dad, who live in the area, attended with Finn and myself and we were so pleased to be there. I loved this picture – so clearly depicts everyone so well!
We were excited to also see Abby Lowry win an award from her program as well! She boarded with my parents over the past year, and became like one of the family. It was so great to be able to see her also receive a well-deserved award!
The description of the award that Jeff accepted went something like this:
…an ESET (Energy Sustainability Engineering Tech) student who has high academic achievement, helps other students learn, and has big ideas. Jeff Holloway!
We were very proud to watch him go up there with Finn in his arms (who, by the way, completely stole the show…stinker!) and accept it! After such a stressful, but incredible year, it was a real “cherry on top” sort of moment!
The school also presented the students who mentored in the “Test Drive” program – a program which bring prospective students in for a day to try out the program they are interested in applying for – a certificate and a coffee mug. It was really neat to see that their efforts were appreciated!
All in all, it was an awesome day, and I was so thankful and blessed to be able to witness Jeff, and other students, be recognized today!
That’s my guy!
